In the center of the Cornia Valley alongside the main road to Suvereto we can already\u00a0discover the first vineyards belonging to our Azienda Rigoli. \u00a0The territory extends from the borders of the province Livorno and Grosseto to the south of Bolgheri, enclosed in the Ore Mountains of the Alta Maremma. A marvellous landscape with\u00a0invaluable historical and archeological sites. This scarce scenery is enriched by the vineyards\u00a0at the foot of the Monte Calvi. A variety of important wines are firmly established in this\u00a0sector and can be found on the Etruscan Coast Wine and Olive Oil Road. The D.O.C. Cornia\u00a0Valley is part of the afore mentioned region.<\/p>\n

Our Azienda Rigoli fits in seamlessly into this context. Ever since the 60s and 70s wine for\u00a0personal consumption was produced on the Azienda. During the 80s our family steadily\u00a0improved production to achieve the high standard of the D.O.C. Cornia Valley wines. In the\u00a090s the vineyard and our portfolio of grapevines was expanded. To the indigenous grapes of \u00a0Sangiovese and Ansonica we added Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and\u00a0Vermentino.<\/p>\n

Today, belonging to the Azienda are approximately seven hectares of vineyards and two\u00a0hectares of olive groves. The Mediterranean brushwood is spread thickly on the hill tops and\u00a0south of them, facing the sun, lie the vineyards on the foot of the hills. A micro climate \u00a0allowing the grapes to ripen perfectly. Enviously we observe our privileged plants flourishing in this ever so fertile soil. As a result,\u00a0our wines develop an extraordinary taste and character.<\/p>\n

Working closely with our oenologist Leonardo Conti from the Matura Group we achieve\u00a0bottling up to 30.000 wine bottles a year. We also produce Extra virgin olive oil and honey.\u00a0<\/p>\n
